Sunderland Culture Research What is Sunderland Culture? Sunderland Culture is a new organisation founded in 2016, created to bring together Sunderland's most important assets and highlight the ambition of the city. They operate many venues in Sunderland each with a different purpose, these venues are the National Glass centre and Northern gallery for contemporary art and Sunderland museum and winter gardens, Sunderland stages, Sunderland cultural partnership, arts centre Washington and the fire station. They run cross-city programmes such as the recent UK city of culture bid and the great place scheme. Their mission is to improve life for everyone in Sunderland through culture. The Venues This exhibition will be held and showcased at The Winter Gardens Museum in Sunderland, there is a lot of significance to the location of this event as the venue is operated by Sunderland Culture.
