Evaluation   Initial Research Pre Production Production Post Production Initial Research I created a documentary titled 'Fashion in the North East' as part of the regional identity project given by 'Sunderland Culture'. Almost immediately after reading through the brief i was set on the idea of adding a fashion component to my final project as it was very fitting to my interests and my personal regional identity. I wanted the documentary to be a showcase of north east talent, small businesses, local fashion brands etc, while educating people on the history of fashion in the north east and how it has evolved over time. I chose to do this in the form of a documentary as being in the target audience age range myself, I thought about what form of media I would most enjoy seeing this represented in and I landed on a documentary.  Fashion In The North East Documentary

 Production Diary Wednesday 16th March 2022 On Wednesday 16th March 2022 I filmed some footage for my documentary at Northumbria University in Newcastle, I composed and recorded an interview with a CANON DSLR camera. The shot type was a high angle duo shot to enable you can see both me and the interviewee clearly.  In this picture, we were setting up and testing shot types for the interview I conducted. I decided to change the setup of the interview upon arriving to the filming location as I found that seeing it in person made me realise it wasn't the right setup for what I wanted. I arranged the table so that you can clearly see me as well as the person i'm interviewing clearly along with being able to hear both of us properly. My production assistant, Fern Gallagher, stayed behind the camera after I set up the shot to my personal preference and was happy with the expected results.   Risk Assessment Risk Assessment Documentary from lucybaker32 I have completed a risk assessment for my regional identity project titled 'Fashion in The Northeast', I am doing this in the form of a documentary therefore I created a Risk Assessment (pictured above) to highlight all the risks I may come across during production. When going through the possible risks I may tackle, I found that the hazards I may face were Cold Environment, Manual Handling, Trip Hazard, Physical Fatigue, Stress / Anxiety and Nuisance Noise / Vibration. I acknowledged who would be exposed to these hazards ( the Cast and Camera Crew) and the level of risk they would be exposed to.  Fashion in the North East Documentary Focus Group I constructed a focus group to gather feedback on my draft footage for my documentary, I did this in audio form by asking questions and recording my peers answers. I asked 11 questions to ensure I gathered as much feedback as possible, the answers i received will help determine the choices I make regarding my documentary and i will make changes to my plan according to the feedback I got.   Interview Research Louisa Rogers Louisa Rogers is a Fashion Designer, Journalist, photographer, stylist and blogger who is currently living and working in the North East of England, Louisa has cofounded two fashion brands that produce and operate in the North East called 'Studio Courtenay' and 'Trendlistr Vintage'. Louisa studied Fashion Photography & Styling at London College of Fashion before moving on to a creative Entrepreneurship MA at Newcastle University. She is also a founding committee member of 'Colour Collective UK', which is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes colour education through multidisciplinary workshops and lectures.
