I am interviewing Louisa Rogers about her fashion brand 'Studio Courtenay' for my documentary, I instantly knew I wanted to interview Louisa after looking at her fashion brands and finding out about her career via her website as I feel she is someone who has and will make a lasting impact on fashion within the North East. I felt personally inspired and interested by her career and knew immediately I wanted to share this with the audience of my documentary in the hopes it inspires them s much as it has myself. For this interview I have researched extensively about her career, personal life and impact on fashion in the North East and carefully curated a series of questions I would like to ask her. I will be asking her about her inspirations to start the company, how living and working in the North East has influenced her brand, what interested her about the North East and the responsibilities she has taken on as creative director for Studio Courtenay. I will then move on to ask about what sparked her own interest in fashion, how her work as a designer has evolved since starting her own fashion brand and her personal favourite piece she's designed. Finally, I will conclude the interview by asking Louisa what she thinks sets her apart from other local fashion companies in the North East.

Studio Courtenay

As well as cofounding the company, Louisa is currently the Creative Director for Sturdio Courtenay, a responsible clothing brand which is both designed and made in the North East. Studio Courtenay combines maximalism, vintage-inspired silhouettes and electic design flourishes to create fashion that doesn't sacrifice style for sustainability. The brand only use deadstock fabrics to create their pieces, so that they aren't contributing to the harmful effects of producing raw materials. Everything is made in the North East in small clothing studios with most of the garments being made to order to ensure minimal textile waste. From the fabric offcuts that are produced, gifts and accessories like scrunchies and hairbands are created.

Trendlistr Vintage

Louisa sells European vintage through Trendlistr, which operates within the North East.
